No one is surprised to hear that anxiety has reached epidemic proportions in our country and in the world. Our normal, daily lives have become anxiety-generating, just trying to get from point A to point B, and get everything done in the process. Learning how to manage and even overcome anxiety is probably one of the most important goals a person can have now. It's also very important to keep in mind that chronic anxiety may be stemming from past difficulties and painful emotions that don't seem connecrted to what you might be feeling now. But every effect has a cause, and figuring out the root cause of your anxiety is the first step in really becoming free of it once and for all. That's a big part of the therapy process; the other half of the process is working through those underlying issues so that they can no longer have an effect on you, and no longer wreck havoc on your nervous system.
